3rd Annual General Meeting & Steering Committee Election

You're invited to the BBIA's 3rd Annual General Meeting & Steering Committee Election!

This gathering is an opportunity to connect, reflect on the progress of our committees, review public outreach initiatives, and share important findings from our research over the past year. We’ll also provide updates on the 2025 Birch Bay Incorporation Feasibility Study and conclude with the election of our 2026 Steering Committee (more information below).

This has been a big year for BBIA. Highlights include:

• Publication of six Sound Bites to break down complex topics 
• Successfully advocating for an updated Incorporation Feasibility Study
• Hosting several important guests and subject-matter experts to help us better understand what incorporation could look like for Birch Bay
• Promoting another successful community survey to keep local voices at the center
• Sharing hundreds of copies of studies, reports, maps, and general information about local governance

At this point, it would be hard to find someone in Birch Bay who hasn’t thought about local governance at least once this past year because of the steady work of our volunteers. We’re really proud of what’s been accomplished so far and excited for what next year might bring.
