Event Description:
Whatcom County is in the early stages of updating our Comprehensive Plan. This is a multi year project required by Washington State's Growth Management Act and requires Whatcom County to review and revise this plan and development regulations by 12/31/25.
Additionally, this update addresses Urban Growth Areas, which must be able to accommodate housing and employment growth projections for the 20 year planning period. (Birch Bay is considered an unattached Urban Growth Area)
